Description: a spring emerging in the hedge and then running under the road to a small brook

In former times known as The Spout, this spring features on early documents as a boundary marker between Colwall and Mathon.

Park Farm, where this spring is situated, was once supposedly the Bishop's Palace according to some local historians but this may be a misunderstanding. According to Goodbury, Bishop was a local land owner and the farm may once have been Bishop's Place, which in early documents is described as on the boundary of Mathon and Colwall.[1] The spring is not contained and has a substantial flow of water emerging. To identify its whereabouts, listen for the sound of running water.
