Description: an animal trough now removed.

In May 1880 Mr H Griffith, station master at Malvern Link, appealed for subscribers to erect a drinking trough for cattle at the station. It was opened at a very short ceremony on 15th July by local animal lover Miss Jessie Lakin.[1] Unfortunately almost a year later the trough had not been paid for and an appeal went out for more subscriptions.[2] The trough was removed just over 100 years after its erection and two pillars against the station yard wall are all that remain to testify as to its former whereabouts.
